True Pair of 37" Mid Century Etruscan Silvered Brass Horses Sculptured in the Boris Lovet-Lorski Style.
So far I have not been able to pin them down to one maker. I did find references to Italy in the 1960's.
Impressive true pair, mirror images of each other. They have a thin profile, great for a large mantel piece or buffet. Stable enough to place on the floor.
Some loss of black paint on the mane and tail of both. No major scratches noted. I did notice a couple of indentations on one. Whether that was in its original shipping or manufacturing it's hard to tell. There are no signs of what may have caused it. There are some drip marks on the back of one horse from cleaning. You may want to polish them out depending on how you display them. These normally list between $7000 - $9000 each in this size.
